The idol of Goddess of Navratri, which is worshiped on the sixth day, is called Maa Katyayani. Maa Katyani always looks after her blessings on her devotees. Although it is the second name for Parvati in Amarkosha, Uma, Katyayani, Gauri, Kali, Himavati, Isvari are the other names in the Sanskrit dictionary. In Shaktivad, they are called Shakti or Durga, which includes Bhadrakali and Chandika.
It is not hard to please Maa Katyani if you worship her with her sincere mind, then she will end all hardships. Maa Katyayani has 3 eyes and 4 hands. She holds a sword in Her one left-hand and a lotus in another. The other 2 hands respectively show protecting and allowing actions .It is believed that the worship of Goddess Katyayani calls for peace and happiness in the house. After problems of marriage and troubles in the relationship of husband and wife are far from their worship and fast.
